About Altadena
Altadena is an unincorporated area in the San Gabriel Valley and Verdugos regions of Los Angeles County, situated directly north of Pasadena. Approximately 14 miles from Downtown Los Angeles, the community had a population of 42,846 at the 2020 census. In early 2025, the area was severely impacted by the Eaton Fire.
