About Axtla de Terrazas
Axtla de Terrazas is one of the 58 municipalities in the central Mexican state of San Luis Potosí, founded in 1826. Its name derives from the Nahuatl word astlan, meaning "Place of white herons." The suffix de Terrazas was added to honor the revolutionary Alfredo M. Terrazas.
