About Bath
Bath serves as the county seat of Sagadahoc County and is popular with tourists drawn by its 19th-century architecture. The city is home to the Bath Iron Works and the Heritage Days Festival, which takes place annually during the Fourth of July weekend. It earned the nickname 'City of Ships' because of the many sailing vessels constructed in its shipyards.
