Located in University Terrace, the LSU Campus Mounds are two Native American mounds from the Archaic Period on the Louisiana State University campus. Construction began more than 11,000 years ago and may have continued until 5,000 years ago.
Something unique: These mounds predate the Great Pyramids of Egypt.
