Woodchester Villa

🎟️ Attraction in Bracebridge, ON

Woodchester Villa is a historic octagon house built in 1882 at 15 King Street, overlooking the Muskoka River. Originally the home of woolen manufacturer Henry J. Bird, it features walls made of 16-inch-thick poured concrete that alternate between 4.5 and 5 metres in width.

Something unique: The Bracebridge Rotary Club purchased the property in 1977 to preserve it before turning it over to the Town of Bracebridge in 1980.
