Branford is a shoreline town situated on Long Island Sound in New Haven County, Connecticut, approximately 6 miles east of downtown New Haven. It borders East Haven, Guilford, and North Branford within the South Central Connecticut Planning Region. The community had a population of 28,273 according to the 2020 census.
