The USS Parche Sail is a Sturgeon-class submarine that was commissioned in 1974. It was the second United States Navy ship named after the parche, a small coral reef butterfly fish.
Something unique: Natalie Beshany, wife of Vice Admiral Philip A. Beshany, sponsored the vessel when it was launched on 13 January 1973.
