Bucerías is a small beach resort town in Nayarit located on the Riviera Nayarit stretch of the Pacific coast. Situated in the Bay and municipality of Banderas between La Cruz de Huanacaxtle and Nuevo Nayarit, it was formerly known as Santa Julia de las Tablas. The name Bucerías translates to 'Divers town,' reflecting its connection to diving.
