About Centerport
Centerport is a hamlet and census-designated place in Suffolk County, New York, located on the notably affluent North Shore of Long Island. Historically known as the Gold Coast, the area was formerly called Little Cow Harbor around 1700 before adopting its current name in 1836. The name Centerport refers to its geographic position midway between the east and west boundaries of the town of Huntington.
