Chaska serves as the county seat of Carver County and sits 21 miles southwest of Minneapolis as an outer ring suburb of the Twin Cities. The city merged with Chaska Township in 2006 and is home to Hazeltine National Golf Club, which has hosted two PGA Championships and the Ryder Cup.
