About Childersburg
Childersburg is a city in Talladega County, Alabama, incorporated in 1889 with a history dating back before 1540. The area was once a village of the Coosa Nation visited by Spanish explorer Hernando de Soto. Legend holds that an ill member of De Soto's crew was left behind and cared for by the local Coosa people.
