Chilpancingo de los Bravo serves as the capital and second-largest city of Guerrero, situated in the Sierra Madre del Sur mountains along the Huacapa River. The municipality covers a vast area of 2,338.4 square kilometers in the south-central part of the state. It lies on Federal Highway 95 connecting Acapulco to Mexico City and is served by Chilpancingo National Airport.
