About Coatepec Harinas
Coatepec Harinas is one of 125 municipalities in the State of Mexico, with its municipal seat located in the town of Coatepec Harinas. The original Náhuatl name 'Coauhtepetl' translates to 'serpent hill'. A boom in flour production around 1825 led to the addition of 'Harinas' to the official title.
