Union Square

🌳 Park in Penn Quarter, Congress Heights, DC

Union Square is an 11‑acre public plaza at the foot of Capitol Hill that houses the Ulysses S. Grant Memorial (1924) and a 6‑acre Capitol Reflecting Pool (1971). It lies just west of the United States Capitol building, though its exact position relative to the National Mall is debated.
