About Darnestown
Darnestown is an unincorporated area and census-designated place in Montgomery County, Maryland, bordered by the Potomac River, Muddy Branch, and Seneca Creek. It lies adjacent to Travilah, North Potomac, Germantown, and Gaithersburg, roughly 22 miles northwest of downtown Washington, D.C. The CDP covers 16.39 square miles of land with a population of 6,723 as of the 2020 census.
