About East Gwillimbury
East Gwillimbury is a town in the Regional Municipality of York, situated on the East Holland River within the Greater Toronto Area. It was formed by amalgamating the township with its previously incorporated villages and hamlets, including Holland Landing, Queensville, Sharon, and Mount Albert. The northernmost interchange of Highway 404 marks the town's north edge just south of Ravenshoe Road.

Sharon Temple
The Sharon Temple in Sharon Village is an open‑air museum site that became a National Historic Site of Canada in 1990. It contains eight heritage buildings, houses 6 000 artifacts on a 1.8 ha area, and the building is available for public use such as tours, concerts, weddings, and special occasions by its current owner, the Sharon Temple Museum Society.
It was in 1990 designated as a National Historic Site of Canada.
