Eureka is located in the extreme southwest of the Greater St. Louis metro area, spanning parts of St. Louis and Jefferson Counties. The city sits adjacent to Wildwood and Pacific with a population of 11,646 as of the 2020 census. It has been known as the home of the amusement park Six Flags St. Louis since 1971.
