About Exeter
Exeter is a town in Rockingham County, New Hampshire, with a population that grew to 16,049 by the 2020 census. It served as the county seat until offices moved to neighboring Brentwood in 1997 and is home to Phillips Exeter Academy. The town sits where the Exeter River becomes the tidal Squamscott River.
