About Fort Smith
Fort Smith is the third-most populous city in Arkansas and serves as one of the two county seats of Sebastian County. It anchors the Fort Smith, Arkansas–Oklahoma Metropolitan Statistical Area, which spans parts of both states including Crawford, Franklin, and LeFlore counties. As of the 2020 census, the city proper had a population of 89,142.
