About García
García is a city and municipality located to the northwest of the Monterrey metropolitan area in the state of Nuevo León, Mexico. It borders several municipalities including Mina, Escobedo, Hidalgo, and Santa Catarina, as well as the state of Coahuila to the west. According to the 2005 census, the municipality had a population of 145,867.
