Located in Dupont Circle, The Phillips Collection is an art museum founded in 1921 by collectors Duncan Phillips and Marjorie Acker Phillips. Originally established as the Phillips Memorial Gallery, it serves as a cultural landmark within the neighborhood.

Something unique: Founder Duncan Phillips was the grandson of James H. Laughlin, a banker and co-founder of the Jones and Laughlin Steel Company.
