About Grand Ledge
Grand Ledge sits along the Grand River, mostly within Eaton County with a small portion extending into Clinton County to the north. Located 12.7 miles west of downtown Lansing, the city derives its name from sandstone rock ledges found between Island Park and Fitzgerald Park. These formations rise 40 feet above the river and are used by recreational rock climbers.
