About Gresham
Gresham sits in the Willamette Valley, just east of Portland and within Multnomah County. The town grew from early 1850s settlers led by the Powell brothers into an incorporated city in 1905. It was named after Walter Quintin Gresham, a Civil War general and former Secretary of State.
