Hamburg is a town in Erie County, New York, located on the western border of the county and south of Buffalo. As part of the Southtowns, it contains the villages of Hamburg and Blasdell along with the census-designated place of Wanakah. The community was founded in 1812 in Armor and bears the name of the city of Hamburg, Germany.
