Hopkinton is a town in Merrimack County, New Hampshire, comprising three distinct communities: the residential Hopkinton village, the business hub of Contoocook, and the agricultural West Hopkinton. The area hosts the annual Hopkinton State Fair near Contoocook village. It also features the historic Contoocook Railroad Depot and the Contoocook Railroad Bridge, which is the oldest covered railroad bridge in the United States.
