About Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo
Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo is the fourth largest city in Guerrero, situated on the Pacific Coast within the Costa Grande region. While it developed alongside the modern resort of Ixtapa, the town has retained its traditional character and sits on a bay popular with private boat owners during winter. In 2023, the Mexican government designated Zihuatanejo as a Pueblo Mágico to recognize its cultural and historical importance.
