Holmdel Horn Antenna
🎟️ Attraction in Fawn Valley Hills, Keyport, NJ
The Holmdel Horn Antenna is a large microwave horn antenna used for satellite communication and as a radio telescope at the Bell Telephone Laboratories facility on Crawford Hill in Holmdel Township, New Jersey. It was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1989 due to its association with the research of Arno Penzias and Robert Wilson.
Something unique: It served as both a satellite communication antenna and a radio telescope during the 1960s.
