Lahaina is a census-designated place on the northwest coast of Maui, encompassing the town itself along with Kāʻanapali and Kapalua beach resorts. The area spans Hawaii Route 30 from a southern tunnel through Olowalu to neighboring CDPs in the north. As of the 2020 census, it had a resident population of 12,702.
