About Lanett
Lanett is a city in Chambers County, Alabama, situated on the Chattahoochee River in eastern Alabama southwest of Atlanta. Originally known as Bluffton, the community was established by Lafayette Lanier and Theodore Bennett, founders of the West Point Manufacturing Company. The city’s name combines elements from both founders' surnames.
