Best of Magdalena de Kino, SON

Magdalena de Kino is a city in northern Sonora, located about 50 miles from the Mexico-U.S. border and covering approximately 560 square miles. The municipality includes sectors such as San Ignacio and Sásabe, abutting Nogales to the north. It was named after Father Eusebio Francisco Kino, a pioneer Roman Catholic missionary who explored this region and present-day Arizona.
