About Mashpee
Mashpee is a town on Cape Cod in Barnstable County, Massachusetts, bordered by Sandwich, Barnstable, and Falmouth to the north and Nantucket Sound to the south. Settled in 1660 and incorporated in 1870, it serves as the historic and contemporary home of the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe. The tribe was federally recognized in 2007 and maintains its headquarters within the town.
