About Middle River
Middle River is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Baltimore County, Maryland, with a population of 33,203. The area developed around a train station that appeared on maps by 1877 and expanded significantly during the 1930s and 1940s. This growth included the Aero Acres housing community, where Skidmore, Owings & Merrill designed gable-roofed Cape Cod houses with large commercial-style windows for workers at the Martin Aerospace Company.
