About Miramar
Miramar sits near the southeastern tip of Tamaulipas as the largest city in the Altamira municipality and the third largest in the Tampico Metropolitan Area. With a population of 161,820 recorded in the 2020 INEGI count, it ranks as the seventh-largest community in the state. It achieved this status by surpassing Río Bravo since the previous census.
