About Monument
Monument is a home rule town in El Paso County situated at the base of the Rampart Range as part of the Tri-Lakes area. The community borders Pike National Forest to the west and Colorado Springs to the south, with mountains framing the north and east. Originally incorporated as Henry's Station in 1879, the name was later changed to Monument.
