About Nacajuca
Nacajuca serves as a major center for Tabasco's Chontal Maya population within the state's north central Chontalapa region. While agriculture and livestock remain economic staples, the area also supports oil production, handcrafts, and tourism. The low-lying flat terrain is prone to flooding, having been severely affected by events in 2007 and 2011.
