About Nantucket
Nantucket is an island located about 30 miles south of the Cape Cod peninsula in Massachusetts. Together with Tuckernuck and Muskeget, it forms a combined county and town government as the state's southeasternmost municipality. The place name is adapted from similar Algonquian terms for the island.
