Old Town is a city in Penobscot County, Maine, with a population of 7,431 recorded in the 2020 census. While its boundaries extend beyond the main developed area, that core sits chiefly on the relatively large Marsh Island. The island is surrounded and defined by the Penobscot River to the east and the Stillwater River to the west.
