Red Bank Battlefield is a park located in the Eastwick neighborhood. The site commemorates the Battle of Red Bank (also called the Battle of Fort Mercer) fought on October 22, 1777 during the American Revolutionary War.
Something unique: The battle involved a force of 1,200 Hessian troops sent to take Fort Mercer.
