About Peachland
Peachland is a district municipality in the Okanagan Valley on the west side of Okanagan Lake, founded in 1899 by John Moore Robinson. The city sits largely on a steep sidehill due to the narrowness of the valley and lack of terraces marking former lake levels. Across the lake lies Rattlesnake Island, which is home to the legendary Ogopogo.
