SS Naramata
ποΈ Attraction in Penticton, BC
SS Naramata is an historic steam tug that operated on Okanagan Lake between 1914 and 1967, pushing barges and breaking ice for the Canadian Pacific Railway. The vessel now rests in Penticton beside its sister ship SS Sicamous while undergoing extensive renovations by the S.S. Sicamous Restoration Society.
Something unique: SS Naramata is the only interior steam tug preserved in British Columbia.
