About Plattsburgh
Plattsburgh sits on the north-western shore of Lake Champlain, serving as the county seat of Clinton County and the main commercial hub for the northern Adirondack Mountains. Located just northeast of Adirondack Park, it is the second largest community in the North Country region. The explorer Samuel de Champlain was the first recorded European to sail into the valley, claiming the area for New France in 1609.
