Rowland Heights is an unincorporated community located below the Puente Hills in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County. It ranks as the second largest census designated place in the county by area and holds a significant Taiwanese population. The neighborhood was historically known as "Little Taipei" during the 1980s and 1990s due to an influx of wealthy immigrants from Taiwan.
