Memorial Cross Park

Memorial Cross Park is a small city park in Newhall that served as the second, temporary site of Mission Santa Clara de Asís between 1779 and 1784. The grounds previously featured a large granite cross donated by a local Lions Club in 1953 before its removal in late 2016.
Something unique: The granite cross was removed following a federal lawsuit filed by the Freedom from Religion Foundation.
