About Santa María del Río
Santa María del Río is a municipality in southern San Luis Potosí, located about 48 kilometers east of the state capital. Covering 1,655 square kilometers, it is widely recognized as the birthplace of the blue and white rebozo de bolita. The town is also known for weaving the Rebozo Caramelo.
