About Shillington
Shillington is a borough in Berks County, Pennsylvania, United States, with a population of 5,475 at the 2020 census. It lies among other suburbs outside Reading and is known for its historical significance as the homestead of Pennsylvania's first governor, Thomas Mifflin. The town also served as the childhood home of American author John Updike, whose stories are set in a fictional version of Shillington called Olinger.
