Sidney is a city in Shelby County, Ohio, and the county seat of the area. The population was 20,589 at the 2020 census, and it lies about 36 miles north of Dayton and 100 miles south of Toledo within the Dayton metropolitan region. An interesting fact: Sidney received the 1964 All-America City Award, a recognition not many small cities hold.
