About Steinbach
Steinbach is the third-largest city in Manitoba and the largest community in the Eastman region, located about 58 km southeast of Winnipeg. First settled by Plautdietsch-speaking Mennonites from Ukraine in 1874, their descendants continue to maintain a significant presence in the city today. The urban area sits on the eastern edge of the Canadian Prairies, with Sandilands Provincial Forest situated just to the east.
