About Tecomán
Tecomán serves as the seat of its municipality in Colima, located about 50 km south of the city of Colima near Federal Highway 200. As the state's third-largest community, it sits within a rich agricultural region known as the lime capital of the world. The area gained international attention when it became the deadliest municipality in Mexico in 2016 due to its soaring homicide rate.
