About Tecumseh
Tecumseh is a city in Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma, with a population of 6,302 as of the 2020 United States census. It was named for the noted Shawnee chief Tecumseh. The locale was designated as the county seat at statehood but the seat moved to Shawnee in 1930.
