About Tepotzotlán
Tepotzotlán is a city and municipality in the Mexican state of Mexico, situated 40 km northwest of Mexico City along the Mexico City–Querétaro road. Historically significant for its autonomy during Aztec and Spanish rule, it became a major educational center when Jesuits established the College of San Francisco Javier in 1580. The former college complex now houses the Museo del Virreinato, which holds one of the largest collections of art and objects from that era.
